Let's do some catching up!

So this is just some of the month of december. One of the major highlights is that Addy started eating rice cereal! The pictures up above are from the very first time she ate it. She didn't exactly like it at first, but she is slowly getting used to it! It has been amazing watching her grrow these last few months. Just this morning Scott and I couldn't stop laughing at her jumping in her jumparoo saying "da da da da"! Of course, the ONLY reason she is saying that first is because it's so much easier than saying mama :) Dont worry though, she is being well trained to say "mama"!

Another highlight of the month was my cousins wedding, and Addy was the flower girl. I know what you're thinking....she can't even walk...but I was glad to carry her down the isle since being a flower girl was something I always wanted to do as a little girl :). She was so cute, full of smiles the whole night! It was a beautiful wedding filled with lots of friends, family, and dancing. Did i mention Scott amazing everyone (including me) when he busted out on the dance floor with the worm? Ummm yes, the worm. I have to admit, I have never seen it done so well, and i love learning new things about my crazy husband.

So in case you were wondering what Addy is doing in the sixth picture down, that would be her playing with wax paper. No, I'm not a bad mom, I watched her every second she had it. But honestly, the kid loves that stuff! I actually don't let her play with it anymore because she is slobbering too much because of teething.

Also in the month of december, we got Gabrielle for a week, which was, and is always super fun. While we were in burleson we went to see "ICE" and had a blast. It's basically a bunch of ice figures that were designed like characters from Charlie Brown. I love spending time with Gabrielle, seeing her with Addy is so amazing. I also love the times when it's just me and Gabby, she is my little buddy. I love when she is at our house watching the disney channel and i catch her singing and dancing to the music commercials. She gets super embarrased, but I love it! She is just to cute for words.

All in all things are looking great for 2011. Scott and I have out 1 year anniversary coming up in feb. which i think we might get a little vacation/business trip in! He has to go to san franciso for a medical conf. so I will tag along and spend my days doing fun stuff while he is boring meetings haha! J/k.......kinda :) The thing I think we are looking forward to the most is by far the vacation we just booked to montego bay! We are sooooo ready for a vacation for the two of us with no distractions, work, or obligations! I think everyone can agree its nice to feel worry free for 5 days or so right? :)

Anyway, my bed is calling my name, and i will try to blog again soon!

In case you have been wondering.......

I can't find my camera. Seriously, it is nowhere to be found and I stress about it everyday. Addison is doing so many new things, and I can't capture the moment :(. I have decided that we have to get her pictures professionally done next week! Now I just ave to decide what she should wear....and that seems to be the hardest part!

On another note, I am obsessed with soup lately. I have made three different soups in like 3 weeks, and just got a recipe for the fourth one. So far I have made red pepper tomato soup, turkey taco soup, and zuchinni soup. Yuummyy! Something about the new cool weather just makes me want to eat soup everday I guess.

Another fun thing in my life at the moment is our new gym! We finally joined spectrum this past week. To be honest, I was getting tired of p90x. I did it for two and a half months, and it just got really old. I also got really tired of hearing "bring it" and pretty much everything else Tony would say haha! The gym has been so great so far, I did kickboxing this morning and it was super fun. I think it is easier for me to push myself in the gym too, especially because they have daycare so I never have to stop in the middle of a workout anymore woohoo! I am very greatful for the "mommy time" I get :)

I have been a terrible blogger lately! Honestly, I have a hard time finding enough extra time in my days to exercise and do my bible study, so by the time i'm done with all that i would rather sleep than blog! So tonight i have some extra time because Scott is hunting with my dad, and for some odd reason i'm not ready to crash yet.
So this was a pretty good week for me. My grandma was in town and it's always great to see her. I love to see how excited she gets about seeing Addy, she is so proud of all her great grandbabies.
I have been going to my parents house alot during the week because my mom has been home, and it alllows me to get my p90x done for the day! I am sooooo thankful that we live so close to one another, it's so nice to just get a change on scenary sometimes.
For some reason i am feeling very compelled to discuss what happened to me at the grocery store yesterday, so here it goes. HEB had pregnancy tests on sale for a dollar so i decided to buy a few of them, (no ladies and gentlemen we are NOT trying again yet) but you never know when you'll need one so i took advantage. So i get to the register and what does the checker say???? He holds up the box and says....."Well, if you are then congratulations, but if not then hey, it was meant to be" !!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my jaw might have dropped for a minute before i replied with " umm you should probably NEVER say that again to any woman. EVER.) I wasn't really mad, but i couldnt help thinking that he should never have said that. What if i was single and really didnt want to be pregnant, or what if i was trying desperatly to have a baby and i couldnt? I mean wow, he really put his foot in his mouth. Am i crazy that this bothered me so much? I don't think so.....
Anyway, I am sooooooooo excited about this coming weekend. We are making a girls trip to shop in Canton! Scott's mom is going to watch Addy while i get some much needed girl time with my bahdee Rian, and my sister, and aunts, and mom, ect ect. I cant wait!
Well, thats all for now... it didnt take long for me to get sleepy!

So i have been a bad blogger lately, but i haven't had alot of extra time, and to be honest if i do have extra time i would rather sleep these days! Addy has changed alot in the last month. One of the things i have noticed is that she is starting to get upset if someone isnt keeping her company. SPOILED!!! :) Like when we go out to eat or something he used to just chill, but not anymore! Don't get me wrong, i love to see her smile when i give her attention, but its hard to get anything done these days.

Anyway, we have been doing alot the past couple weeks. We celebrated Gabrielle's 9th bday, and Karters 3rd bday and also went out with friends to celebrate one of their bdays! Our weekends seem like they have been packed full of fun stuff, but i'm looking forward to a relaxed weekend with my family now :).

Ahhhhhh memories.....

So today when I had some time while Addy was sleeping i went through my pictures on my computer. I browsed through some pictures of my honeymoon, and i have decided i desperatly need/want to go on another vacation. I know i know, your saying "well dont we all"? Yes, of course, but i have decided that after the year crazy year ive had and workoing out so much to get my figure back, i think i have earned it. I'm not saying we would have to go any place that cool, def. not as cool as Maui was, but somewhere fun and relaxing! Any ideas? Oh an keep in mind, we have zero money to take a vacation right now with a new baby and all, so i'm thinking wayyyyyyyy in advance here :).

Ok so this is the topic for my blogging group this week. This is by far my favorite time of year, one reason is because this is honey crisp apple season, and i'm a little obsessed with them. But if you know me, then you probably already knew that! So i took a little time today, and put up a few decorations for the season!

Yes, i know what you're thinking.....Julie, this looks weak. But i'm a mom with a young baby that needs my constant attention and i'm on a budget. So its not alot, but cute!!! I also have some other decorations inside, but i forgot to take pictures!

I'm also pretty amazed at how well our new mexican heather plants did this year, since i ont have much of a green thumb. We will have to start trimming those crazy plants!

Ok well this blog is getting cut short. A baby crying in my lap makes it a little hard!

10 things I'm thankful for...

One of my friends started a blogging group and I decided to join and this is one of the topics to write on, so here it goes! First of all, i have way more than ten things I'm thankful for, so we can call these my top ten at the moment :)

1. My growing relationship with God, and knowing that he loves me no matter what.

2. My wonderful family. By family i mean everyone...Mom and Dad, my sister and brother in law and their sweet boys, my grandma, all my aunts and uncles ect ect ect!! They have all made an impact in my life and have helped shape me into the person i am today. I love you all!

3. My Amazing husband. I have had the pleasure of watching him grow as a man in so many ways....in business, in health, and most importantly his relationship with his family and the Lord. He is the love of my life, and he totally complete's me.

4. I am soooo thankful that God gave me a healthy little girl. That is the number one thing that i prayed for constantly when i wa pregnant....for a healthy baby. She is so precious and is growing like crazy, so i try to savor every moment i can :)

5. My In-laws. Scott's parents Steve and Jonette are so precious to me. They have done so much for us, and love me like i am one of their own. I am so very thankful that i have a mother in law that i can feel so comfortable with, she really is like another mother to me! I love to watch them with their grandbabies (Gabrielle and Addison) they are so proud of those girls!

6. My relationship with my mother and sister. In earlier years i didnt feel as close to my mom and sister because there wasn't much common ground. In the past year i have learned so much from each of them about being a good wife and mother. I honestly would go crazy if went more than two days without talking to my mom now haha!

7. My beautiful step daughter Gabrielle. She is the sweetest little girl i have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am so lucky and thankful that she accepted me with open arms and with no judgement what so ever. She always puts me in a good mood with the silly things she says and does, that little diva!

8. Of course, my awesome friends! They are always there for me when i need them. I really wish some of them lived closer to me!!

9. My home. I feel comfortable here, and I have made it my own. I take pride in all the hard work i do here!!

10. In general, i am thankful that God has provided for us. This has been a crazy year, and he knows we have been through alot of changes. It's nice to know that when we feel like we can't handle it all, we have a shoulder to lean on!
